I can't believe it's thanksgiving break already. Sam and Brooke are in town, and today we celebrated by running (slash walking) the drumstick dash in downtown roanoke. there were so many people there, it was so fun seeing all kinds of teachers and classmates that i haven't seen since high school! It's been really great being home for a few days, i definitely needed a break from columbia, and what better way is there to spend that break than in my beautiful city with my family and best friends?! talk about thanksgiving at it's finest. thinking about this has got me thinking....of course......of all the things I'm thankful for. so, in typical thanksgiving tradition, i'm going to list them, in no particular order. These are the things I'm thankful for in the past year:1. My Young Life team: it's been such a blessing getting to know these guys and doing ministry with them this year. I'm so glad i got placed at Lexington, i've been learning so much since i got placed in february.
2. My roommates: i love living with Julia and Sara so much, and i love that we have all become so close in only a semester. i know they are going to be friends for life.
3. My high school friends: i hope to never grow apart with these guys. its been a year and a half and we're still going strong....so maybe thats a good sign? i love them so much and my heart hurts when i'm away from them too long....you guys are the best (you know who you are)
4. My college friends: are completely and totally different than the people i hung out with in high school, yet just as awesome.
5. USC: my home away from home, i love it here so much, i can't imagine myself going anywhere else.
