I'm pretty sure I should have lived in the 80s. Tonight i was helping my friend with a project on pop culture in the 1980s. I was looking up pictures of bands and famous people that were in the 1980s. All of my favorite musicians were big in the 80s. U2, David Bowie, and Elton John are my three favorite musicians. They're the best, and they got started in the 80s. These bands were HUGE in the 80s, along with the Rolling Stones, Twisted Sister, Queen, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, and Led Zepplin. I don't really like these bands as much, but I probably would've if I'd lived in the 80s. I do like Michael Jackson though; I can do the whole Thriller Dance.
Also, the 80s has cool fashion. Last year for a Homecoming Spirit Day I dressed up as a Jazzercise person from the 80s. The leg warmers and oversize sweatshirts were so comfortable! I would love to wear that everyday, but it's only acceptable for spirit days here in the 21st century.
It's great that the 80s was before technology really advance. There were cell phones, but no texting, so you had to have real life conversations with people. Macintosh computers had just came out, and they were very primative. It would be great to live in an era before the technology advanced so far, you wouldn't even know what you were missing. I'd love to live in the 80s, it looks like such a fun era.
