old year

2011 brought me lots of happiness:
January - ringing in the new year with new friends up the mountain & deciding on USC
Febuary - getting to know those new friends better during WC weekend and the day we went hiking
March - going to VCU for the state basketball championships with the band. so.much.fun.
April - prom with Alex
May - prom with Michael, senior club, meeting ali, and SENIOR WEEK
June - high school graduation & coaching swim team & SUMMER
July - Saranac with HV YL and city county!
August - leaving for COLLEGE!
September - first Carolina Football game & meeting Julia. first month ever away from home. started the best bible study ever. drew holcomb concert.
October - finally going HOME for fall break & applebutter weekend & Carolina Point weekend & more Carolina Football
November - more football, Josh Turner concert, thanksgiving break & the South Carolina Clemson game!
December - christmas parties, Kristin coming to roanoke, first time going to HV YL club since may, Christmas, being home for an extended period of time, and New Year's Eve!

but it did bring some sad things:
January - dad's cancer
May - you know.....
June - high school graduation
July - Stef leaving
August - leaving for school, Ali leaving, summer ending

I think it's funny how both high school graduation and leaving for school are under happy and sad. it's so bittersweet that i couldnt even explain that feeling to you if i tried. you've gotta experience it.

2011 had lots of good memories and great new friends. i think i've made more new friends in 2011 than in any other year of my life. i can't even remember who all i hung out with in 2010.

so here's to 2012.....i hope i have another year like this past one....it was the best year of my life after all.
